Welcome!!!

I am so glad that you have made it to my blog. My name is Rian, and I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 11 years. We welcomed our first child, a beautiful baby girl, in April 2009. In March 2011, we sadly lost our second child to a miscarriage at 10 weeks pregnant. Our son was born in March 2012. This is my blog....the journey through my life with the people that I love.

A little of this and that

THE WEDDING!!!!!

So...I think the wedding went way better than I thought it was going to. The couple was really sweet and easy to work with. Their situation was really unique...they have been together since middle school and he is being deployed to Afghanistan. So, things were really rushed as far as planning everything and that is how I got involved! :) I ended up with over 400 pictures and most of which I was very happy with. They all got delivered today and I hope they will be happy.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

I have to say that this was the best Christmas ever!!! And not just because Kameron was a part of it (even though she made it way better). This was just all around the best one I can remember....no drama, no tears, just enjoying my family. We had breakfast at my house (a first for us) and Kameron opened her presents. After she got up from her nap, we went to my parents house for a late lunch/early supper. The food was great and the company was better! I am so happy with my little family.

KAMERON UPDATES!!!!

Kameron is growing in leaps and bounds. She officially is putting herself to sleep at night with very little tears if any at all. And is starting to sleep a lot better at night...last night she slept from 8:30pm to 5:30am!! That's 9 hours straight!! YAY!! I am so proud of her! I know some people firmly stand on the crying it out method and others despise it, but I just do what works for me. I won't let her scream, but I want her to learn how to work things out herself. Before I had my hand surgery I would rock and walk her till she feel asleep, but once I wasn't able to do that (hard to do with one hand!) we had to figure something out. So far this has worked out great for all of us. Recently she has started to "say" a couple of words....she says "achoo" "pree" (which is how she says pretty) and now I think she is trying to say "kisses". Speaking of kisses, she loves to gives us kisses!!! Oh, how it melts my heart. She also loves to give her new dolls kisses....so stinking cute. She has also started to dance whenever music is on...it doesn't matter what music, it could be the commercial jingle..she is going to be dancing. I am still waiting on her to take her first unassisted steps. She walks all around holding unto the furniture and will walk while pushing her new toy from my parents, but no real steps yet. If she is like me, she will be closer to 1 before she finally lets go. My child is getting more teeth!!! :/ She already has 6 and it looks like 3 more are on the way....before I know it she will be eating steak! haha

BILLS, BILLS, BILLS and POOP!!!!

Like every parent, my life revolves around bills and poop. Just yesterday I sat down and paid 10 bills!!! 10 stinking bills!!! Ever since my surgery, every time I turn around there are more medical bills to pay. These on top of Kameron's hospital bill make me feel like I need to have a gold medal account with Lexington Medical Center. And here comes the poop!!!....This seriously has to be my least favorite thing to deal with when it comes to being a mom. I cringe every time I hear the grunts coming from my child (that sound like a man) meaning that she is filling up her diaper. Not too long after that comes the smell. :/ OMG...the smell. Back when she was only nursing and no real food had been introduced there was no smell. But now that she is eating solids. OH. MY. LORD. I could seriously throw up! But I will continue to change these oh so disgusting diapers till she is potty trained and I will keep thanking God that I am changing these diapers because if I wasn't I wouldn't have my little stinker!! ;)

Preparations and things I need/want to do........

....I am currently preparing/needing/wanting to do a lot of things. First off, I have my first official "job" as a photographer this Saturday!!! I am so stinking stressed/nervous/freaking out!!!!!!!!!! I can not believe that this is actually about to happen and I can only hope that my skills shine through. I am really hoping that I will be able to get over my initial shyness that I have when I first meet people and get in the groove of capturing their special day. And yes, I have not met these people, but I did Facebook stalk them so I at least know what they look like! :D

The next thing I am preparing for is that with me doing this job I will be leaving Kameron for a while with my sister (I told Freddie that he will be going with me to the wedding as my "assistant"). I have no idea how long I will be gone and my milk supply in the freezer is SUPER low, so I am doing extra duty in front of the ever aggravating breast pump. :/ Hate doing it, but if I can at all help it, my baby isn't going to have any formula!!

Number Three on the list....we are having Christmas morning at our house where I will be making breakfast for everyone and Kameron will be opening her presents. This means my house needs an extra heavy duty cleaning between now and then!!! In case you don't know, I totally hate cleaning. I despise it with every fiber of my being. If I can put it off, I will, even though I hate a messy house. I just need some cleaning fairies to come to my house at night so that I don't have to worry about it.

Number Four....get back in shape!!! I had absolutely no problem losing my baby weight. Two weeks later and I was back to the weight I was when I found out I was prego. Yay me!!! However, somehow I put 10 of those pounds back on. Surely it can't be this crazy craving I've had for chocolate lately?!?! And no I'm not pregnant again, I checked just to be sure. ;) So, I have got to get my butt on the treadmill and on the the dreaded exercise ball. I also need to figure out a diet that I can do while breastfeeding. One that doesn't require you to not eat and one that won't give Kameron gas. Because the last thing I need is a gassy baby!

Number Five...spend more quality time with Freddie. That may sound easy, but believe me it isn't. Between taking care of Kam, working some, cleaning house, cooking supper....I barely have time for myself let alone Freddie. Sheesh, some days I am so tired I can't see straight or have a coherent conversation. So, I hope to be able to spend more time with him and not just sitting in front of the television.

Number six....learn to love myself. This is something I have tried to work on for years. No matter how skinny I am or how fit I am, I have always felt that I/my body wasn't good enough. And since having Kameron my self esteem has really went downhill. If you have ever had a baby you understand where I am coming from. Things move to places where they weren't before, your skin stretches and pulls so you get stretch marks (unless you're one of the lucky ones who doesn't get them), your skin breaks out, your hair falls out....the list goes on. Everyday I struggle to look past the way my body looks and to remember why it looks the way it does. My body bears the reminder that I created life (with Freddie's help), and I carried that life inside of me for 39 weeks and 3 days with the majority of my weight out front. So yeah, I have stretch marks and a little extra jiggle, but I also have the most beautiful baby to show for it. Oh, how I love that child. :)

So, there you go....these are the things I hope to be able to achieve over the next few days/weeks/months. Until next time..............

Surgery, Teeth & Tears

Well, it has been a while since I wrote and for a good reason. I had surgery on my left hand on November 13th (yes it was Friday the 13th!). I had no idea it was going to be so bad, and I don't think the doctor did either. Luckily, it is not anything serious but my recovery has taken a while. Taking care of a busy 8 month old with only being able to use one hand has been challenging! And yes, you did see 8 MONTH OLD!!! I can't believe my baby is so big now!!

Now onto the fun stuff...Kameron updates!!!! As I said earlier she is now 8 months old and has started doing so many things now. She had her first Thanksgiving and her first taste of butter beans (which she didn't like). She also had her first professional pictures done! She is now pulling up, standing and furniture cruising. I have come to realize that it is pointless to clean my coffee table because as soon as it is clean there will be baby fingerprints and drool back on it. Just a couple of days ago she started giving us kisses!!! It is the sweetest thing ever!!!! Sometimes she will just give you a kiss without you asking for one. It totally melts my heart. She loves for you to chase after her on the floor when she is crawling. She is eating more and more food everyday and loves to pick up the food and feed it to herself. She now has 6 teeth, and it looks like 2 or more are on the way. Since she had 4 teeth all come in at one time, her sleeping pattern has been totally messed up. Apparently these teeth have given her a big problem because she cries more now than she use to, and is back to waking up every 2-3 hours a night. She never wants us to lay her down when it is time for her nap and we have to struggle with her to get her to go to sleep at night. Hopefully this is phase and we will get it straightened out soon. But with all of this I can't complain. I have the best baby ever. She is so happy, loves to laugh and is so smart. I love her so much and there are days that I still can't believe that she is actually mine. I am still waiting to wake up from this dream. Thankfully this is my life and my dream has come true.....I have my beautiful baby, a loving, supportive husband and a wonderful family. I could not ask for anything else.

Kameron's new pictures..... :)
