Welcome!!!

I am so glad that you have made it to my blog. My name is Rian, and I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 11 years. We welcomed our first child, a beautiful baby girl, in April 2009. In March 2011, we sadly lost our second child to a miscarriage at 10 weeks pregnant. Our son was born in March 2012. This is my blog....the journey through my life with the people that I love.

Crawling, Christmas and Decisions

Smack, smack....crinkle, crinkle...These are the sounds of my daughter crawling around my house. And occasionally these sounds are followed by a "ha aha haha" or "dadadadada...hey!" I know she is 7 months old and 18 pounds, but when she is crawling around the house she seems so small! Everything is so much bigger than her and I am constantly paranoid that she is going to hit her head on everything!!! She has been crawling for over a month now and I still have not "baby proofed" the house. I am so slack!!! I have even bought the outlet covers, but they are still in the bag just waiting on me to put them on the outlets. Geez....I will do that today, I swear! :)

I can not believe that Thanksgiving is 2 weeks and 1 day away!!! Goodbye 2009, here comes 2010!! I am already ready to decorate for Christmas because I am so excited about it being Kamerons' first one!!! I have even purchased her first present...a Cabbage Patch Doll!! She won't be having a big Christmas, but even so I am totally excited and can't wait for her to open her presents. And of course I am sure she will be more interested in the paper and the boxes instead of the actual present, but that is okay.

Now, my next debate with myself is whether or not to have "Santa Clause" be a part of her holiday. I had Santa Clause growing up and wasn't too devastated when I found out there wasn't one, but for my sister it was different (Love you, Katie!). I stayed up late one Christmas Eve to discover Mom and Dad putting presents under the tree and despite me telling her and insisting that he wasn't real, Katie would not believe me. Poor thing had quite the mean older sister that had to destroy her Christmas spirit. So I am left with the decision of should I tell her that there is a Santa Clause only for her to find out later that I lied and there isn't one, or tell her that me and her Daddy are Santa Clause?!?!?! I personally enjoyed the idea of Santa Clause when I was little and really enjoyed reading "The Night Before Christmas", but I still have a little bit of time before I have to make my decision. "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!"......

My lil' bumblebee and the many blessing in my life...

Well, I have been staying home with my sweet little girl for almost two weeks!! She has started doing so many new things in such a short amount of time. Since she started pulling up and standing, that is all that she wants to do now. She now has two of her top teeth coming in; therefore, some of her days have been a little challenging dealing with her fussiness. I have started trying to feed her breakfast and sometimes supper. One of her new favorite things to eat are these rice puffs that she can feed herself. She also loves her sippy cup!! Once she sees that cup, you might as well forget about feeding her because she will grunt and scream until she gets her cup! She has been saying "da da de de daaadee" for a while now and a couple of days ago she started adding "ba ba baaa" into the mix. I am still trying to get her to say "mama", but every time I say it to her she just laughs and says "dadadada". She is too funny and makes me laugh so much.

Since I last wrote, Kameron got to enjoy her first Halloween and she is now 7 months old! Well, I say she enjoyed Halloween, but she could've cared less. She definitely did not want to stay in her outfit long even though she was so cute!! My parents and sister came over to enjoy the festivities with us and to help pass out candy to the trick-or-treaters. Unfortunately, Freddie had to work so he didn't get to participate. But he did get to see his lil' bumblebee all dressed up before he left.

With each day that passes I constantly still find myself reflecting on the past 7 months and how much Kameron has changed and how different my life is now. My little girl is my world now, and I wouldn't change it for anything. I absolutely love when I am feeding her and she looks me straight in the eye and stares at me like she knows I am her mommy and she trusts me more than anyone else. I love how her face lights up when she smiles and how her laugh is so contagious. I love watching her little eyebrows crinkly up in concentration as she is taking in the world around her. And most of all I love when she snuggles with me, lays her head on my shoulder and her breath tickles my neck. When she lays like this my heart swells to the point I feel like it is going to burst and all I can do is hold her tighter, close my eyes and thank God for her.

With November brings Thanksgiving, which reminds us that we need to look at our lives to see what we are thankful for. I know what I am thankful for, I am thankful for my beautiful, healthy baby; for my loving, supportive husband and for my encouraging, dependable family. I am truly blessed beyond words and could not be happier. And for all of this, the only person I have to "Thank" is God. So, thank you Lord for all that you have done for me, thank you for trusting me with my precious baby, thank for helping me and Freddie to become the parents we are today, thank you for blessing me with such a great family, but most of all thank you for loving me despite my faults and for providing me with all the opportunities you have given me.

Day Three- She stands!!!

What an amazing day yesterday and today have been. Kameron started pulling up more yesterday and stood up one time. And today she is pulling up constantly and standing. Oh boy!!! I have my hands full now!

When I was talking to my mom earlier I told her that being a SAHM is actually harder than working full time. I seriously did not think it would be this difficult, but it is so worth it! I am constantly on the go, between feeding her, changing her, chasing after her....I might as well forget trying to watch TV. Actually I don't even know why I have the thing on! The only time I can sit down and chill is when she is taking a nap and then I really should be up cleaning or washing clothes. The duties never end, but I am seriously having the time of my life.

I honestly never thought I would be able to have this experience, nor did I expect I would be cut out to stay at home. I personally love adult interaction and love my job. But I have never been happier. Luckily, I will still be going into work from time to time to help out, so I will still get to see some of my favorite people and get out the house some. Thank goodness or I might go crazy!!!

I can not believe that in less than a week my baby will be 7 months old. Everyone is right when they say time goes by way too fast because it really does. In my birthday card this year from my dad, he told me "I would say to hold on tight to your little girl, but time stops for no one." and he is so right. No matter how much I want to press "pause", life doesn't work that way. So, I hold on tight when I can and let her go when she can't sit still any longer. I treasure the moments when she falls asleep in my arms and I can just snuggle with her even while she drools on my shoulder. These are the moments that I will never forget and I thank God every day that He decided to trust me with such a precious gift!

Our First Day

Today marked my first day as a full time SAHM!! So far everything has been great. We had to get up early to take Freddie to work since his truck is in the shop, once we did that we came home and crawled back in the bed. After Kameron woke up at 8:30am, our day officially began.

I had to go to the doctor and Kameron had to come with me since I didn't have a babysitter. Man was I worried!!! With all the scares of the swine flu and every other sickness out there, I really didn't want to expose her to all that. Luckily most of the people there had on masks (quite a sight!) and were constantly washing their hands. All went well and she was a great baby! I actually had to have x-rays so she stayed with the nurse and when I came out a group of ladies were congregated around her. All of them said how cute/adorable she was (of course I agree because I'm biased that way!) and how she looks just like me. The only awkward moment was when the doctor came back in the room to discuss my x-ray results and I was feeding Kameron. He was really nice despite the fact he looked like Marv from "Home Alone"!

After the doctor it was time for another nap, and yes I took a nap with her. She has started teething again which means less sleep for me, so if I can get a nap I'm getting one! After our nap, I put supper in the crock pot and now I'm blogging.

So, as you can see my first day has been pretty uneventful....we will see what other "adventures" head my way as I begin this journey.
